David MacDonald, President of the Metro Marauders Junior “A” Hockey Team has today announced that the Team has applied to the Maritime Junior A Hockey League to change it’s name to the “Shipbuilders Hockey Club”.

Dylan King has committed to play AUS hockey at Saint Mary`s for Trevor Steinburg and the Huskies. The twenty year old was a long time defenseman in the Maritime Junior Hockey League with the Metro franchise dating back to when they were the Halifax Lions.

The Marauders will be holding their annual Golf Tournament on Monday June 11th at Brightwood Gold and Country Club, in Dartmouth. The main event on the links will include a steak dinner / award presentations and auction to follow.

During the most recent trading period, the Marauders were able to add depth on their blueline by acquiring Kevin Jackson from the Bridgewater Lumberjacks, through the trade of a pick in this year's Midget Draft.

Brett Woodland has today been introduced to the returning players of the Metro Marauders as the Club's new Academic Advisor.
